Madrid bids to host WCD2031

AEDV, the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, has officially announced Madrids candidacy to host the World Congress of Dermatology 2031 (WCD2031).

The National Bidding Committee will be led by Dra. Yolanda Gilaberte, elected President, and Dr. Sergio Vañó Galván, appointed Secretary General of WCD2031 Madrid Candidate City.

Madrid’s proposal emphasizes excellence in dermatological research, education, and clinical practice, supported by the city’s state-of-the-art facilities, international accessibility, and vibrant cultural environment.
The candidacy reflects AEDV’s dedication to fostering collaboration, promoting scientific innovation, and strengthening the exchange of knowledge among dermatologists worldwide.

By hosting WCD2031, Madrid aspires to provide a platform that unites the global dermatology community in pursuit of scientific progress and improved patient care.

WCD2031 Madrid’s vision at World Skin Summit 2025

Our National Bidding Committee took part in the World Skin Summit 2025, where they warmly welcomed colleagues and delegates from around the world at their booth.
During the congress, Dra. Yolanda Gilaberte, President of the National Bidding Committee, officially presented Madrid’s candidacy to host the World Congress of Dermatology 2031, sharing the vision and values that inspire this proposal.

At our booth, participants were invited to learn more about the scientific, cultural, and human dimension of the candidacy: a proposal designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and inclusion within the global dermatology community.

It was a moment of great pride and emotion for AEDV, the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, to showcase how Madrid proposes to welcome dermatologists from around the world: a renewed city with a new skin.

We’ll participate in TeraCILAD 2025, taking place in Mexico City from November 22 to 24. This event represents a valuable opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from across the Ibero-Latin American dermatology community and to strengthen ties within our global network.

As part of the scientific program, AEDV,the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, will host a dedicated session on Friday, November 21, from 16:30 to 17:30 in the Mixteca 2 Room, titled: Therapeutic Innovation in Dermatology Applied to Daily Clinical Practice.”

This symposium will feature leading Spanish experts discussing innovative therapeutic approaches and their integration into everyday clinical care.
